Training
& Equipping

Group of foster parents in training.

Stepping into the world of caring for foster and adopted children can be intimidating even for those who are confident of God’s heart for and call to care for the fatherless. Trauma, family dysfunction, abandonment, attachment, grief, medical and mental health diagnoses– These are just a few of the learning curves that come with caring for vulnerable children. There are many voices that will speak to these topics from a variety of secular worldviews, with “solutions” that are not biblical.

It can be overwhelming and confusing to sift through all of the information and resources trying to discern the truth from the deception. Our desire is to view all of the pertinent topics in caring for vulnerable children from a biblical worldview that starts with and is shaped by the full counsel of God’s Word.

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27

Many Christians and Christian organizations have developed and produced training material, books, podcasts, and articles to equip resource families from a biblical worldview. It is our aim to be the bridge connecting you with the best, most doctrinally sound resources available, so you can be fully equipped to care for the kids in your home, no matter what burdens they carry.
